Brockwell Live 2027 – 31 Consultation on Ambitions in advance of License and Planning Application

The Brockwell Live team are seeking community feedback by 29th October in advance of a planning and licensing application to cover the next five years. Once the applications have been submitted residents will also be able to make formal representations through the relevant Lambeth Council processes.

The key operational elements are:

Application for up to five-year planning permission and a new premises licence.

Up to six live event days each year across two weekends.

An increase in the event area from 25% to 27% of the park.

An increase in capacity from 29,999 to 35,000, phased over three years.

Yearly Lambeth Event Permit, Safety Advisory Group and Biodiversity Reviews will continue each year to ensure Lambeth and the local community retain scrutiny and oversight of the events operation

Continued programme of free activity, including pop-up cinema, family days and the residents' ticket ballot.

Year round programme of community meetings, resident surveys, updates and ongoing communication that will continue to help shape how the event operates.

Points relevant to community safety include:

independent consultants to monitor traffic & parking (bi-annual and review during planning period) and noise (monitoring throughout each event period followed by post event review).

Event teams are expected to travel by public transport wherever possible and audiences encouraged to use public transport, cycling and “other lower carbon ways of travelling”
